Mesosulfuron is a selective herbicide that belongs to the sulfonylurea herbicide group. It is commonly used to control a variety of broadleaf and grassy weeds in various crops such as wheat, barley, rice, and other cereals. Mesosulfuron works by inhibiting the production of amino acids necessary for plant growth, which ultimately leads to the death of target weeds.
