1. Problems with emulsifiers
Currently, most pesticide formulation manufacturers use emulsifiers such as 600# and nonylphenol combined with calcium salts, but there are definitely some problems with their use. For example, the 600# series of adjuvants can easily cause the formulation to become turbid and sink at low temperatures. In order to solve this problem, polar solvents may be added. For example, methanol with a low flash point can be used to solve the problem, which results in the flash point of the formulation also failing to meet the standards. Nonylphenol series adjuvants have been gradually discontinued due to environmental protection policies.
Sinvochem has introduced Emulsifier SP-EC800 to effectively solve the problems of easy precipitation and stratification at low temperatures in the 600# series of emulsifiers. Emulsifier SP-EC800 is a modified compound of aromatic phenol ethers. The formulated formulation is relatively stable at low temperatures, has a wide emulsification range, is highly versatile, and does not contain nonylphenol or octylphenol.
