1.For AI in lumpy or crystalline form
Currently, many TCs are not finely pulverized and cannot be effectively ground in sand mills. By integrating a colloid mill upstream of the sand milling process, pre-grinding can reduce the initial particle size to below 50 μm.
Solution: Install a pre-grinding equipment before wet milling.

2.Colloid Mill Applied Case
The colloid mill drives the rotor (also referred to as the rotating tooth) and its matching stator (or fixed tooth) into high-speed counter-rotation via a motor-driven belt transmission. This process enables complete dispersion of flake-shaped TCs.

3.Production Process Issues
The reasons for machine blockage
Material blockages are often linked to temperature rise in the material.
Material loss caused by excessive milling temperatures is difficult to remediate because re-agglomerated melted material exhibits a lower melting point than its initial state. This leads to easier re-melting during subsequent milling and increased crystallization during storage.
Need to check :
Concentration of TC is too high?
Inappropriate material flow rate?
Material melting?
Particles in material are too big?
4.Solution to issue in production process
1) Choose different milling machines for different TCs (equipment manufacturers often recommend using high-efficiency sand mills which may not be suitable for all formulations)
2) High loading formulations are processed through multi-stage milling: first grinding a low-concentration batch, then adding rest TC to the pre-ground batch for further milling.
3) Control the flow rate
4) Two low-melting-point AIs cannot be milled together in sand milling, as this may lead to eutectic formation, resulting in a eutectic point and producing a mixture with a melting point lower than either individual AI. Therefore, they must be milled separately.
